App development
Git
Git is a version control system: a tool that stores the history of all changes in code and lets a team work on one project at the same time. The place where code lives in Git is called a repository.
Every change has an author, a time and a description, so you can always trace what changed and why, and return to an earlier version. Services like GitHub or GitLab are built on Git, and review and CI/CD build on top of it.
What it means for your business
Code that isn't in the company repository isn't really owned by the company. The first question about any internal tool is: where is its code?
