Hi, I'm Štěpán, the guarantor of House of iOS, and I'm looking for a new addition to my team - an iOS Developer.

Who we are

📱We are designers and developers of mobile and web applications.

🤝 Over the past 8 years, we have built a development agency that offers its clients a partnership in the development of software products.

❤️ There are 30 of us, we are a company based on holacratic principles, we have no bosses and we work in autonomous teams.

What we are working on

Take a look, for example, at our apps Dudelo, thanks to which you can borrow sports equipment from locals on vacation, or tado°, which will help you control the temperature setting in your living room.

What you will do

• You will spend most of your time on the project you will be in charge of. We ensure that we rotate between projects in a healthy way so that we always feel fresh 🥦.
• We know that satisfaction is essential for performance and you don't have to worry that we'll let you worry about a project that won't fulfill you.
• In addition to projects, we also deal with how to make our work more efficient and pleasant - for example, the current initiative concerns improving cooperation with House of Design so that the handover of the design is as painless as possible and perhaps even a lot of things can be automated over time ⚙️ All this is hidden under the so-called House activities, which are also a fixed part of your workload (of course only if you want to 😉).

What we expect

• you have 2+ years of iOS development,
• you know Swift and Git,
• you have already done something with SwiftUI, but UIKit is not a dirty word for you
• you can work with networking, data persistence
• you know what reactive programming is, or at least you have worked with async/await
• you have written a unit test already
• you are no stranger to architectures used in mobile development and you know what dependency injection is
• you can communicate in English

How we work

“Mobile developers get work assigned in the form of a user story or a technical task. A user story describes a scenario that the user can experience in the app, while a technical task means a certain technical modification that is not directly visible to the user. For the user story, the developer receives the design according to which the UI is implemented and the API specification to which the given UI is connected. A project manager, designer or other developers will be happy to help with any ambiguities. The team usually meets every day for a standup where the team members tell each other how the progress is and discuss any questions. Planning, where the team schedules work for the next iteration (typically once a week), a demo, where the team presents the current progress, and a retro, where the team validates its effectiveness and eventually devises how to increase its effectiveness, also take place regularly."
